Our Stallion

Corralejo Del Rio

• Corralejo Del Rio is an accredited Holsteiner stallion with a temporary breeding license until his final approvals in a few years. He is fabulous stallion with a ton of potential.
• Corey scored a 9 for his scope in his free jumping test and an 8 for technique keep in mind, he was tested as a 2 ½ year old stud colt.
• Cathalido, Corey’s sire is a fully licensed and approved Holsteiner Stallion. Cathalido comes from a proven lineage of top show jumpers and his pedigree includes, Cantus, Calido, Calido I, Capitol and Lord.
• Corralejo has one foal on the ground and she was graded premium at her AHHA inspections! This is a promising start to a long career!
• We have started jumping this stallion and hope to debut his talents at the Spring Gathering Horse show in Houston. His behavior and work ethic under saddle are two things that I wish every horse I had came with! I love riding this horse. He learns so fast and he enjoys being ridden. Life is always more simple when working with an animal that enjoys his job.

Our Mares

RIP : Mia or “Avies Perfect Copy”

Mia was a true black thoroughbred mare that was approved and added to the Holsteiner premium mare book for breeding purposes. She had a sound mind which made her very easy to work with and ride. Her canter which she passed on to her foals is light and balanced.

Dariel

Dariel is a chestnut Trakehner who has been inspected and approved for breeding in both the Trakehner and Holsteiner stud books. Dariel comes from very old Trakehner blood lines originating in Poland but she still has a lot of Thoroughbred bloodlines behind her. She is a very good mother and her most recent foal was inspected by the Trakehner association where he received comments from the judges saying that he is an energetic and uphill mover with a harmonious top line and strong hind end. It is my belief that this foal has the build and movement because of his mother’s lineage.

Chance or “Takeachanceandcall”

Chance has been inspected by two breed registries for breeding as well. She has been approved by the Belgian Warmblood association and the Holsteiner association. In the American Holsteiner Horse Association’s Studbook, Chance has been recorded in the Main Mare Premium Section, with a score of 48. Currently Chance is bred to Corralejo Del Rio and we are looking forward to seeing what this match will produce.

Rather Well

Rather Well is a Thoroughbred stallion that is currently competing at the advanced level in three day eventing. We have now bred to him twice and been equally pleased both times.

Fabuleux

Fabuleux is a black Hanoverian stallion with balanced and energetic movement.

Olympic Cardento

Cardento is a Holsteiner stallion competing at the Olympic level of stadium show jumping. He is a large framed stallion that we bred to our black mare Mia. Their filly Bellini is currently being offered for sale.

Oxford

Oxford is a Belgian/Dutch warmblood out of the stallions Voltair and Burgraff. I have recently trained and sold an older Oxford gelding and was so pleased with his jumping potential that I bred our mare Chance to him. I was not let down with this breeding. The resulting registered Belgian Warmblood filly is a very promising girl!

Foals

Fabulous Copy

• Fabby is our 07’ black filly by the Elite Hanoverian stallion Fabuleux and our thoroughbred mare Avie’s Perfect Copy. Fabuleux had outstanding scores at his 100-day test; walk-9, trot-9, canter-10, temperament-9, rideability-9, and willingness to work-9. This stallion combined with our thoroughbred mare, which was entered into the American Holsteiner Horse Associations studbook with an overall bonit score of 46 which placed her in the premium mare book, is proving to be a wonderful cross! We have started her under saddle and are taking things slow, as I believe in a strong foundation consisting of proper flatwork above all else. From the start though Fabby has been very easy to work with and is very eager to please her rider. I get the feeling that she is proud of herself each time I put the saddle on her!
• Fabby should mature at 16.1 hh, she has a white star and two white hind socks.
• Act now before she gets a show record and her price doubles! Fabby is best suited for the Junior/Amateur owner hunter classes as well as the dressage ring!  Look for us in the Green Hunter ring in the coming up season; she will be the beautiful black mare that everyone will be talking about!

Independence

• Indy is our bay registered and branded Belgian Warmblood filly born in April, 2008. Her confirmation screams jumper at all who pass. This mare will go far in either the jumper ring or the eventing world. Her mind is so good, that at her inspections we used her to lead her mother… not the other way around as is with most 3 month old foals! Halter breaking her was a dream, we put the halter on and walked off and she followed right along. She stands tied, and is ready to start being saddled and worked in the round pen!
• Her dam, Take a Chance and Call (Chance) was approved for breeding and entered into the Belgian studbook in 2008. She was then presented to the American Holsteiner Horse Association for breeding and scored so well that she was entered into the premium mare book. Chance has a wonderful temperament and a great canter, which she has passed on to both of her foals now.
• Indy’s sire, the KWPN Stallion Oxford, has won many championships nationally and internationally in the open hunters and jumpers. He has also sired many champion hunters and jumpers, which can only be expecting from this stallion since his pedigree not only includes Burgraaf but also, Voltaire! Two of the greatest producing jumper stallions!
• Indy should mature between 16.3 and 17 hh. She is a bay filly with an unusual star, and a very small sock on her left hind leg, a small stocking on front right, and a small stocking on her right hind.

• Dane is a very athletic animal. He will do well in any sport his rider desires. Dane is a 09’ foal from our Trakehner mare Dariel and the well known eventing stallion Rather Well. At his inspections he scored 7 in type, 8 in conformation, and 8 in movement.  The judges were very excited about his movement, saying that he is a very uphill and energetic.
• Dane is a very unusual color with a lot of white! Dane has four white stockings and a large triangular star with a snip on his nose.  He is sure to be noticed everywhere he goes. He is registered as a dark bay/black, but I have a sneaking suspicion he will actually be more of a liver chestnut! He has been branded by the American Trakehner Association with a brand that hasn’t been used in 125 years. It is a single horn instead of the traditional two.
• Dane is a very sweet boy and has wonderful manners. He stands for the farrier and loves people! Anyone would be lucky to call him theirs!

Bellini

• Bellini is a dark brown 09’ filly from our black thoroughbred mare Mia and the famous Holsteiner jumping stallion VDL Cardento. She is registered with the American Holsteiner Horse Association and has been branded with their brand. She scored two 7’s as a foal at her mother’s side at inspection making her only a foal of merit, but since then she has gotten stronger and I believe she will do well if presented for a re-bonit.
• Bellini is very graceful and inherited her mother’s feminine looks. She may be just a brown filly with no white, but she is sure to stand out on the rail at any hunter show because she’s a smooth mover, and everyone falls for the talk dark and beautiful look! She should mature between 16.2 and 16.3. This filly is going to be a spectacular jumper, but how could she not with such a great sire as VDL Cardento!
• VDL Cardento, Bellini’s sire, has proven himself in the show jumping world, with rider Peter Eriksson he was a solid member of the Swedish team. They received a Silver medal at the World Championships, European Championships and at the Olympics in 2004. But even more important than that, he has now become internationally known as a breeding stallion. Based on his progeny, Cardento has been awarded the ‘Elite’ status with the KWPN and has won the breeders trophy 7 years in a row in Sweden.
